Long time, no post

Well, it’s been a while since last I posted and much has happened since. Let’s start with PC news: still playing WoW on occasion, though I guess I’ve been struck a bit by pre-expansion hiatus. Currently leveling a tankadin with heirlooms, solely through instances, lots of fun though rather slow going. Beats running up and down STV anyways. Oh… and while speaking of WoW… I’m going to BlizzCon! Ticket price for that isn’t THAT bad… at least not compared to how much it’ll cost me to fly from Helsinki to Anaheim… but I guess you need to do some crazy stuff every now and then, it’s only money after all ;p. If you’ve got any suggestions for questions to ask the devs if I get a chance, feel free to post them in the comments section, could use some ideas for that.

My Xbox360 Controller

Well, a couple of weeks back I suddenly got the crazy idea to go buy a xbox360 controller for my PC (yes, I do an unfortunate amount of impulse buying; but surprisingly often don’t regret it, my Razer Naga being a good case of this (might write post on that later)). After a quick and easy setup I was ready to hit the games.

Well worth the wait

When Assassin’s Creed was released for the PC a couple of years back it quickly became one of my favorite games. It made running around the roofs of beautifully modeled cities both thrilling and easy. Unlike most games where you do lots of jumping and climbing; like Tomb Raider or the Prince of Persia series, where jumping can be really frustrating; AC made it both fun and effortless, it was like just flowing over the city roofs. Add to that a very nice combat mechanic and assassination moves and you had a real hit.
